Abstract: Explore burnout factors and compassion fatigue for mental health professionals and the impacts on CBT. Examine how the CBT process is impacted when the therapist is experiencing burnout. Concluding with reviewing ways therapists can conquer burnout.

Deidre Gestrin, LCPC and RPT-S has been working with children and family systems for 14 years. She recently completed a functional medicine health coaching program to focus more on mental health providers wellness and is passionate about supporting others to decrease burnout.
